WILDFLOWER WISH specializes in making all natural cold process soap. All of our soaps are made the old fashioned way from scratch which requires the soaps to cure for 4-6 weeks before being used. We don't use artificial colors or synthetic fragrances in our products. Each soap is completely natural and colored using natural clays, organic plant based powders and botanical extracts. All soaps are left unscented or are scented with pure, high quality essential oils for their aromatherapy benefits and skin healing properties.

The process

The process of saponification, a chemical reaction where a fat or oil (triglyceride) is mixed with a strong base like sodium hydroxide (commonly called lye) to produce soap and glycerol, essentially breaking down the fat molecules into fatty acids that can then form a salt with the base, creating soap. After saponification is finished and the soap is cured (4-6 weeks) it doesn't contain any lye.
